What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks (≈80% of the role) using C# and Selenium WebDriver for UI testing across multiple browsers.
- Design and execute Behavior‐Driven Development (BDD) tests with SpecFlow and implement Data‐Driven testing methodologies.
- Conduct extensive API backend testing using RestSharp and Postman.
- Work as a developer to build and support applications using .NET C# and Angular for UI development (≈20% of the role).
- Apply architectural judgment to assess solutions and ensure compliance with the ATO's enterprise architecture standards.
- Deliver solutions independently, taking ownership of component delivery and project outcomes in line with company standards.
- Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle: analysis, design, building, testing, pair‐programming, code reviews, documentation, and maintenance.
- Proactively resolve incidents, demonstrating strong understanding of change control and release management.
- Contribute to technical documentation; experience with UML is highly desirable.
- Critically evaluate technology and tools, providing recommendations for action.
- Prepare and provide Test Completion Manifest (TCM) sign‐off upon successful testing.
- Given the secure nature of this role, you must be an Australian Citizen with eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
What You Need (Qualifications & Experience)
- Strong hands‐on experience with Selenium WebDriver and C# for reusable functions and test scripts.
- Experience developing and supporting applications using .NET C# and Angular.
- Expertise in API testing (RestSharp, Postman), and a positive understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and microservice patterns.
- Experience with application security and identity management, preferably OpenID and JWTs.
- Considerable experience with the AWS suite of applications.
- Strong knowledge of T‐SQL and Node.js.
- Good understanding and application of SOLID principles.
- Experience with source control (Git) and bug‐raising/tracking via work items, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Australian citizenship with at least 3 years of continuous residency.

- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD, particularly using Azure DevOps and PowerShell.
