About Justice Health NSW | NSW Government Work with Justice Health NSW | NSW Government The Role To provide a responsive community-based assessment and intervention service for young people with complex mental health needs in contact with the criminal justice system and their families. Providing mental health assessment, intervention and care coordination by incorporating discipline-specific recommendations to the identification and formulation for young people and their families who are experiencing crisis or mental health complexity.
The Safeguard Service team, which is community-based, will provide rapid, mobile, intensive, and flexible short-term delivery of evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for young people in contact with the criminal justice system.
Please Note: Location is negotiable, with flexibility available to work within Dubbo Region.
Essential Requirements Occupational Therapist: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in occupational therapy, general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia under Ahpra, and minimum three years' clinical experience (ideally 5 years). Demonstrated extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge within the discipline. Social Worker: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in social work, membership or eligibility for full membership with AASW, and minimum three years' clinical experience (ideally 5 years). Demonstrated extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge within the discipline. Senior Psychologist: Four-year accredited psychology degree, registration with Psychology Board of Australia, and minimum nine years' clinical experience (minimum seven with registration). Approved or eligible for supervision approval. Clinical Psychologist: Six-year accredited master's degree or higher in clinical/forensic psychology, registration and area of practice endorsement with Psychology Board of Australia, and approved or eligible for supervision approval.
