Job Title:
We are seeking a highly ambitious and progressive Finance Manager to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our business.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in capital works and/or construction industry. You will be responsible for leading a team in maintaining the integrity of our general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial reporting systems, as well as providing financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimising performance against targets, reviewing contract valuation, and preparing analysis and reporting to meet internal and client financial reporting requirements.
This is a full-time opportunity with flexible work arrangements, based in our West End office in Brisbane. The selected candidate will demonstrate robust verbal/written communication and engagement skills, as well as the ability to build and manage strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial reporting systems.
* Monitor and optimise performance against targets.
* Review contract valuation on capital projects.
* Prepare analysis and reporting to meet internal and client financial reporting requirements.
* Participate in regular contract reviews and provide insights into contract performance, risk and opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant degree in accounting
* CPA qualification
* 5+ years in finance manager (or equivalent) experience
* Demonstrated experience within Capital Works will be highly regarded
* Demonstrate experience within the civil infrastructure or construction industry
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
