The Blues Train is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our onboard bar operations and help create unforgettable nights for our guests. Perfect for those looking for some extra work on the weekends
About the Role
As Bar Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our event team, overseeing all bar operations on our iconic heritage train. You’ll work closely with the Customer Service Manager and event staff to ensure smooth service, strict RSA compliance, and an outstanding customer experience from departure to arrival. This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining team leadership, customer interaction, and operational responsibility—all set to the soundtrack of live blues music.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise bar staff during events
* Oversee bar setup and pack-down across multiple carriages
* Ensure responsible service of alcohol and RSA compliance at all times
* Manage cash handling and digital point-of-sale systems
* Maintain high standards of professionalism, presentation, and safety
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience in bar supervision or bar management
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A strong customer service focus and calm leadership style
* Confidence working in a unique mobile venue on a moving heritage train
* Physical ability to carry out event and hospitality tasks safely
* Current RSA Certificate
* Food Safety Certificate (prior to commencement)(free to obtain)
