• Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation per annum
• Employment Type: Full Time, Ongoing About the Role As a Food Technologist with this serial innovator, you will play a vital leadership role in developing new and improving existing food products.
You will be responsible for setting and maintaining standards across product development, production, packaging, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities Product Development Innovation: Lead and execute Research Development (R D) trials for new cold-pressed juices, functional mylks (e.g., nut/seed-based), and other wellness items, focusing on clean-label ingredients, flavour profile, and nutritional goals .
Shelf-Life Optimisation: Conduct rigorous testing and implement science-backed methods to safely extend the shelf-life of raw, natural juices while retaining maximum nutrient and enzyme activity.
Quality Control Compliance: Develop, document, and strictly enforce HACCP and Food Safety Programs, ensuring 100% adherence to all relevant Australian Food Standards Code requirements.
Ingredient Analysis: Test and analyse raw ingredients and finished products for flavour, colour, texture, nutritional content, levels, and microbial properties .
Process Improvement: Optimise production processes, cold-chain logistics, and packaging materials to maintain product freshness and structural integrity during storage and delivery.
Technical Advising: Provide expert advice on food preservation, regulatory affairs (including labelling and claims as per local standards), and new processing techniques relevant to the health food market.
Skills and attributes we expect to see: Education: Applicants will ideally hold relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., bachelor's degree) in a highly aligned field.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant industry employment experience in food or beverage production, ideally with exposure to fresh, chilled, or preservative-free products (e.g., cold-pressed juices, dairy, ready-meals).
Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of microbial testing, chemical analysis, and quality assurance systems (e.g., HACCP principles).
Passion: Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for natural health foods and clean-label formulation.
Core Competencies: Strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills for clear technical reporting.
