Business Relationship Director | Bendigo
As the Business Relationship Director within the Bendigo region, you will work across the local market, partnering with a niche portfolio of large commercial customers with complex and evolving needs, to provide tailored services that will enable your clients to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Manage a high‑stakes commercial lending portfolio, overseeing a niche client portfolio with individual needs exceeding $10 million TAE.
* Be the senior face of Bendigo Bank in the community, developing and implementing targeted strategies to elevate the bank’s profile and forge strong relationships with local businesses and community leaders.
* Engage clients in insightful conversations, crafting bespoke financial solutions that address their unique needs.
* Actively seek and secure new clients, cultivating deep, lasting relationships that become the bedrock of your success.
* Identify and spearhead initiatives that propel growth in the local region, turning ideas into actions and outcomes.
* Partner with respected introducers and internal teams—including Corporate and Community Bank Branches, enterprise leaders, business support teams, and the Credit Risk team—to amplify impact.
* Collaborate with internal networks, leveraging their expertise to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related discipline.
* Ability to undertake travel and possession of a current driver’s licence.
* Deep expertise in complex business lending and credit risk principles.
* Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of business banking market conditions, products, cash flows and markets.
* Ability to think outside the square to develop innovative, customer‑centric solutions.
