The Opportunity
A permanent full-time position has just become available for a Process Engineer to join our global headquarters in Macquarie University. In this role, you will be developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for both new and commercially already available products.
Working within a matrixed and collaborative Process Engineering function, you will be supporting diverse customer groups, such as supply chain and R&D, and making an active contribution to Cochlear achieving our mission of helping people around the world hear and be heard
Your Responsibilities include:
* Developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components.
* Supporting the supply chain and R&D group project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially already available product.
* Ensuring that manufacturing processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulation (e.g. Wl, PFMEA).
* Responsibility for meeting the manufacturing strategy by relocating/ duplicating processes across the manufacturing network.
* Ensuring that the business needs are met and project are delivered on time and on cost.
* Reviewing PIP process as needed to improve compliance and project/launch outcome.
* Ensuring the development and introduction of manufacturing technologies is aligned with Cochlear long-term strategy.
* Supporting the team development strategy and budget resources to deliver against Product and services and manufacturing plan.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
* Preferably 2+ years in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry
* Experience in either process development or mechanical design.
* Experience developing and introducing manufacturing processes and products internally or at an external supplier.
* Experience in risk management methodology.
* Experience in validation of verification of manufacturing processes
