**Marketing & Communications Assistant - flexible casual position in Newcastle**

**The Gig.**

We're thrilled to offer the role of Marketing and Communications Assistant at Life Matters. This is a Casual role reporting to the Business Development Lead and completing approximately 8-16hrs a week (and yesss, we're happy to be flexible). This role is ideal for marketing and comms students or enthusiasts wanting some epic mentorship and experience.

**The Role.**

The role of the Marketing and Communications Assistant is to work with the Life Matters' team, reporting to the Business Development Lead, to deliver top-notch content and material. As a highly organised, multitasking teammate, with the ability to constantly improve and optimise; you will be our Marketing and Comms Ninja.

**WE ARE SEEKING SOMEONE WHO CAN**
- Provide creative and administrative marketing, media and communications support to the business in line with objectives provided
- Coordinate marketing and social content as instructed across media, website and socials
- Draft up and send out internal and external information communications from briefs, as instructed
- Conduct and collate market research findings in line with business objectives
- Turn your hand to any task that's thrown your way with a 'let's make it happen' attitude
- Work alongside an energetic team and bring your own enthusiasm, creativity and proactiveness

**IS THIS FOR ME?**

Put simply, you will need to be an extremely organised, creative, tech-savvy person with the ability to turnover work quickly. Your essentials must include:

- Warm, engaging, and friendly
- An ability to follow instruction with high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Organised and up to date with new and emerging platforms and trends
- A passion for all things communications, socials and marketing!
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience using Canva and WordPress or other similar CMS systems
- Experience using digital and social platforms, including how to read/provide reports and make improvements in response
- Fabulous, engaging copywriting skills
- Audio/Visual production experience would be a big plus
- Have relevant tertiary qualifications OR experience in a similar role/s
- Show an ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, respect, and sensitivity

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**:
? Proven experience and/or tertiary qualifications in marketing, digital design, communications and or social media

? Demonstrated experience/track record of work/portfolio in this field (we'd like to see your style!)

? Maturity, reliability and initiative

? Work well with teams and have strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

? Availability to work 1-2 days / 8-16hrs, per week.
