Family Support Coordinator


At One Mile State School, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Support Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting children and families to transition into school.



About the Role


* Key Responsibilities:
o Collaborate with external partners to drive positive outcomes for families and children.
o Work with school staff to understand students' needs and connect families with relevant services.
o Build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community services.
o Facilitate access to specialist interventions and support engagement with the NDIS.
o Use data to assess the effectiveness of support measures and improve student outcomes.



Required Skills and Qualifications


We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable children and families from diverse backgrounds. A strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and stakeholders is essential.


Knowledge of early childhood services and transition processes into primary education is also required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using data to inform decision-making and measure outcomes.


A current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services is mandatory, as well as a current driver's licence. We require someone who is willing and able to travel as required.
