Overview
Your Role as Lead Nurse Practitioner. We are seeking a Lead Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced, autonomous paediatric palliative care at Hummingbird House. In this key leadership role, you will manage complex clinical presentations, collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, and provide supervision and governance for Nurse Practitioner Candidates and advanced practice nurses. You will help deliver safe, high-quality, family-centred care for children with life-limiting conditions across Queensland, while upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of Wesley Mission Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Deliver advanced, autonomous paediatric palliative care at Hummingbird House.
* Manage complex clinical presentations and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide supervision and governance for Nurse Practitioner Candidates and advanced practice nurses.
* Help deliver safe, high-quality, family-centred care for children with life-limiting conditions across Queensland.
* Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Wesley Mission Queensland.
Essential Requirements
* Extensive advanced clinical experience in paediatric palliative care or a related specialty.
* Ability to practise autonomously in complex clinical environments.
* Strong clinical reasoning, decision-making, and communication skills.
