**Overview of Position**
As a Technical Writer with Advanced Navigation you will have the exciting opportunity to look at how customers use documentation across their journey with our company, allowing us to invest in a better customer experience. You will support all of our technical documentation needs, including the rollout of new R&D projects, iterations of inertial navigation and subsea acoustic products, and any future products.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- With a passion for technology and flair for writing, you will play a key role in the customer engagement team to deliver the vision on user documentation across the entire customer lifecycle
- Explain complex technical concepts and explaining them in simple language
- Utilise design thinking to deliver a mix of traditional and web based user content
- Work cross-functionally with customers, support, sales, marketing, product and R&D
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:
- Have 2+ years of technical writing experience with technical hardware and/or software products
- Have studied at a higher education institution focused on engineering
- Demonstrate a proficiency in technical writing, with a relentless eye for detail
- Demonstrate experience in improving or building both information architectures and content strategies for documentation
- Genuinely strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a knack for creatively engaging with engineering audiences
- Be comfortable deep diving into technical topics and building rapport with engineering teams
- Experience working with survey, robotics or navigation systems in defence or commercials markets would be an advantage
- Have some experience working with both hardware and software products
- Be a passionate, hungry learner that gets excited about professional growth and being challenged by new opportunities
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset for accomplishing goals
- Be proficient with Madcap Flare help authoring tool, Confluence and Jira is advantage
