We're on the hunt for a Production Engineer (Manufacturing Engineer) to join our Kilsyth-based Product Engineering team and play a critical role in making new designs production-ready.
You'll bridge design and manufacturing—working hands-on with new products, processes, and tooling from prototype to production launch.
Responsibilities
Assessing and optimising manufacturability of new products
Design and development of welding and production assembly jigs, fixtures, and gauges in SolidWorks
Lauching new production processes in metal fabrication, welding, power coating and assembly
Creating BOMs, routings, and product costing in ERP/MRP systems
Leading PPAP activities including methods of PFMEAs, SOPs, and trial builds
Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering or production engineering role
Strong hands-on skills in metal fabrication, tooling design, and process development
Proficiency in SolidWorks, technical drawings, and GD&T
Deep understanding of manufacturing readiness, quality control, and root cause analysis
Exposure to automotive processes a bonus.
