**About the School of Medicine**
The School of Medicine receives funding from the Department of Health under the Rural Clinical Training Scheme program to deliver clinical training in rural areas. The School has two Rural Clinical School located at Bathurst and Lismore, the Clinical Schools have a strong commitment to serving our communities and delivering upon workforce needs across our regions. Our staff work across hospitals, clinical schools and research institutes at locations across Western NSW including the Murray Darling Basin and Bathurst where our rural program is based and students likewise are found across Western Sydney and across NSW.
**About the Role**
The Rural Clinical Schools program is designed to encourage medical students to take up a career in rural practice by enabling them to undertake extended clinical training placements in rural locations. The program also seeks to have a more immediate impact on the rural medical workforce by encouraging health professionals to take up rural academic positions.
The Lismore Rural Clinical School is seeking a Medical Educator to contribute to teaching, administration and research in the School of Medicine. The Medical Educator will be committed to the education of future medical practitioners and will contribute to the discipline of Surgery locally and internationally.
This is a part-time (7 hours per week), fixed-term position until April 2025.
This position is based at the University Centre for Rural Health (UCRH), Lismore, New South Wales.
**Remuneration Package (pro rata)**: Academic Level C $33,908 to $38,897 p.a. (comprising salary of $28,682 to $32,946 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
