Wakefield Regional Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced independent member to sit on Council's Audit and Risk Committee.
The purpose of the Audit and Risk Committee is to provide independent assurance and advice to the Council on accounting, financial management, internal controls, risk management and governance matters.
The committee meets at least once in each quarter and otherwise as required, with the date and time set depending on the availability of members. The appointment will be for a maximum period of four (4) years.
The successful applicant will have qualifications, knowledge and experience relevant to the functions of the committee. Council is particularly seeking someone with skills in risk management, governance or a similar field. Independent Members are compensated for their time and expertise at an appropriate level of remuneration, based on meeting attendance.
