About us:Central Queensland Health (CQ Health) operates a network model for Obstetrics and Gynaecology services. This position will be required to provide services at Rockhampton Hospital and community clinics, Gladstone Hospital and Emerald Hospital, as well as visits to rural facilities including Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service, Biloela Hospital and Capricorn Coast Hospital and other facilities as services are expanded.About the role:The position of Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist is to assist the Clinical Directors in:Ensuring that Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services provided by CQ Health are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner given available resources.The education and supervision of trainees, junior medical staff, medical students, Midwives, and other Health Practitioners including Nursing staff.The day-to-day management of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services including active participation in patient safety, clinical audit, investigation and management of adverse clinical incidents and complaints, research, and service planning activities.About you:MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and Scope of Clinical Practice for Specialists and Non-specialist Senior Medical Officers on staff. Your qualifications and certified skills and competencies determine the scope of clinical practice you will be granted and subsequently your position title and salary status.What we offer:Total remuneration value of up to $483,588 p.a. is comprised of:A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a.
