Our finance team is seeking an experienced professional to provide essential support across accounts payable and general accounting functions.
This role offers a mix of hands-on accounts payable duties and broader accounting support, ensuring the smooth running of finance operations while contributing to month-end reporting, analysis, and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process invoices, payments, and purchase orders
2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
3. Prepare month-end accruals and accounts payable reports
4. Manage routine clerical and administrative finance tasks
Finance & Accounting Support:
1. Monitor daily cash balances and process fund transfers
2. Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries
3. Prepare account reconciliations and review trial balances
4. Assist with departmental cost reporting and financial analysis
5. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and investment summaries
About You:
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with strong numerical skills, high accuracy, proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, excellent communication and organisational abilities, confidence working independently, and experience with Maximo (highly desirable).
Qualifications & Experience:
* VCE or equivalent (minimum)
* Further education in business or accounting preferred
* Tertiary qualifications in commerce/accounting highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and/or broader finance functions
