Contract: 4 August 2025 – 9 November 2025Hours: 64 hours per fortnight (approximately 32 hours/week)Roster: Includes shifts, nights, weekdays and weekends
Overview
Job Opportunity – Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
PDH is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to fill a temporary ADON role through agency placement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to contribute in a pivotal role within a supportive regional health service.
Responsibilities
Provide senior nursing leadership and operational oversight
Support clinical divisions and act as a resource for staff
Promote excellence in patient care aligned with PDH's values: wisdom, courage, and compassion
Ensure compliance with clinical governance and safety standards
Essential Criteria
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia (AHPRA)
Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical setting
Advanced understanding of clinical nursing and clinical risk management
Strong knowledge of the NSQHS Standards
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
Strong ICT proficiency
Availability for a flexible roster including nights and weekends
