We have an opportunity for an experienced leader to manage operations at RAAF Base Woomera as our Property and Asset Services (PAS) Manager. This contract has recently started so there is an opportunity for you to bring your own ideas and help shape the success of this long-term contract (initial 6-year term).
This is a permanent position, and we are open to a flexible working arrangement that may be under a drive-in-drive-out model.
About the role
In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of RAAF Base Woomera and smaller sub-sites in the region. This includes ensuring effective financial performance, safety management, incident management, and continuous improvement activities where you will be supported by two Supervisors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and managing the financial performance of the region/base, ensuring budgets are adhered to and financial targets are met.
* Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations, fostering a culture of safety across all operations.
* Coordinating and managing the response to incidents, ensuring effective resolution and post-incident analysis.
* Providing leadership and support in all people matters, ensuring staff development and addressing any issues promptly.
* Conducting regular reviews of financial and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
* Maintaining strong relationships with SEG staff across the BSA, ensuring alignment and cooperation in achieving common goals.
* Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in a leadership role within a similar operational environment (i.e facilities management).
* Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial performance monitoring.
* Proven experience in safety management, including incident response and resolution.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications in management, business, or a related field are highly desirable.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
