Job Summary
Vestas is seeking an Electrical Engineer to specialize in Power System Studies. This role requires reviewing Balance of Plant (BoP) designs, drawings, and documents against industry best practices, laws, and Vestas' contractual requirements.
Main Responsibilities
* Review BoP submissions from sub-contractors against industry best practice and law.
* Support power system studies to define wind farm generator performance standards.
* Simulate and model wind power plants, including WTG, PV, and storage.
* Prepare formal responses to inquiries regarding wind farm technical performance.
* Deliver grid connection deliverables required by Vestas on time and safely.
* Assess performance, efficiency, and reliability of balance of plant systems for renewable projects.
Requirements
* Educated in electrical engineering with 3-4 years experience in power systems.
* Registered or Certified Professional Engineer (RPEng or CPEng) preferred.
Key Skills
* Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Proficiency with PSCAD, PSSe, and/or PowerFactory.
* Experience working with international stakeholders.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
