Cranfield Recruitment has partnered with a well-established manufacturing business based in Yatala, seeking an experienced Service Mechanical Manager to lead and oversee all plant, equipment, and facility maintenance operations.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring asset reliability, minimising downtime, and driving preventative maintenance strategies across a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Managing and maintaining all manufacturing plant and industrial machinery
Oversight of facility and site infrastructure maintenance
Developing and executing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
Improving asset reliability, uptime, and overall plant performance
Contractor and service provider management
Ensuring all plant, equipment, and maintenance activities meet WHS and safety compliance
Maintenance cost control, budgeting, and asset lifecycle planning
Capital works, asset planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Utilising CMMS systems (MEX or similar) to manage maintenance schedules and reporting
Key Skills & Experience
Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical
Strong background in manufacturing / industrial maintenance environments
Proven experience managing heavy machinery and plant equipment
Solid understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability engineering
Strong WHS knowledge and contractor management experience
Exposure to CMMS systems (MEX highly regarded)
PLC fault-finding experience desirable
Capital works, shutdowns, or project experience highly regarded
Ability to collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime
