We are currently seeking an energetic & high performing Sourcing Coordinator to join our close-knit team, located in Broadmeadow!
About Your Role
Our Manufacturing & Maintenance – Transport business is seeking an experienced and passionate Sourcing Coordinator to join our team. The role is critical for advancing the strategic procurement initiatives that deliver significant commercial and business advantages.
Reporting To The Category Manager Sourcing You Will
Process Ownership: Take full ownership of the entire process, from conducting initial spend analysis to implementing effective sourcing strategies. Contractual Frameworks Development: Develop and maintain the necessary contractual frameworks and supporting documentation to efficiently execute the go-to-market strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's standards. Supplier Selection and Evaluation: Collaborate with operations to select suppliers and evaluate them based on commercial and quality perspectives. This includes conducting first article inspections and facilitating 'make versus buy' decisions, focusing on efficiency and sustainability. Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance and regularly review the capabilities of potential suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance with company standards. Contract Compliance Monitoring: Oversee contract compliance, identify areas of contract leakage, and communicate findings with relevant business managers in each Business Unit to implement corrective actions and optimize contract performance.
About You
To be considered for the role you will have experience in a procurement environment, with a focus on sourcing, category management, and/or supplier performance management to achieve organisational objectives.
Experience in industries such as rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics, or other safety-critical environments is highly valued. Proficient in computer systems and software, including SAP, MS Word, Excel, and email communication platforms. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including robust negotiation and influencing abilities. Proven capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and levels within and outside the organisation.
Qualifications & Certifications
A tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, commercial management, or an engineering-related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
