Job Description National Account Manager – Supermarkets & Pharmacies Location: Melbourne Salary: $150k Super – plus Incentives Employment Type: Full time About the Company Our client is a leading Australian FMCG supplier with an established presence in the household, health, beauty, and licensed products categories. This is a confidential search being managed by a specialist recruitment firm. The company is known for its agile culture, collaborative team environment, and strong relationships with major retailers. With a portfolio of trusted brands and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a high-performing National Account Manager to lead relationships across Coles, Woolworths, and key pharmacy groups. The Opportunity This newly created role offers dual-channel responsibility across the supermarket and pharmacy retail sectors. You will be tasked with managing and expanding strategic partnerships, growing distribution, and delivering commercial outcomes through deep customer engagement and insight-led planning. Reporting to the Director, you will own the sales plan, lead category and promotional planning, and work cross-functionally to bring new product launches to market. Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage strategic relationships with category managers, assistants, and retail media stakeholders across supermarkets and pharmacies • Understand market and customer dynamics through regular analysis and reporting • Use data insights to influence internal teams and retail partners to drive growth • Develop and execute sales plans to expand ranging, distribution, and promotional sales • Analyse consumer, market and competitor data, and share findings with senior management • Report weekly on sales performance and provide actionable insights • Design and execute promotional programs within budget, and track results monthly • Manage trade spend to increase profitability and market share • Lead forecasting and budgeting for sales, scan sales and co-op investment values • Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities and product listings • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on new product launches • Coordinate with the Retail Field Team to ensure in-store execution is aligned and on budget What You’ll Bring • Proven success as a National Account Manager in FMCG • Experience managing Coles, Woolworths, or major pharmacy accounts • Strong commercial acumen and budget management experience • Proficiency in Nielsen, IRI, Quantium or similar tools for data-led planning • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills • A proactive, energetic approach with strong communication and project delivery capability • Confidence working autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Passion for building brand presence and driving category performance Incentive Structure Up to 20% of base salary, paid quarterly Measured against four performance areas: • Sales growth • Co-op budget achievement • Scan sales budget achievement • New brands or lines ranged Why Apply This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, innovative FMCG business with real scope to make an impact across two major retail channels.
