About the Role
Our client is a proudly local, family-owned Alice Springs business specialising in the design and manufacture of steel trays, aluminium canopies, general metalwork, and commercial fabrication. Their trade-quality products are built tough to withstand the harsh conditions of the Central Australian desert.
They are expanding their team and are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and enjoys producing custom solutions for a wide range of clients.
About the Role
* Fabricating steel and aluminium trays, canopies, and custom metal components
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* MIG/TIG welding and general metal fabrication
* Working on one-off custom builds, fleet upgrades, and commercial fabrication projects
* Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment
Qualifications
* Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience
* Welding certifications (MIG/TIG) desirable
Experience
* Demonstrated experience in metal fabrication, welding, and general workshop tasks
* Experience working with steel, aluminium, and custom builds
* Previous work in automotive, commercial, or general fabrication environments highly regarded
Skills
* Strong MIG/TIG welding ability
* Competent in metal cutting, shaping, and assembly
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management
ANNUAL SALARY: $76K TO $82K
