This dual-role professional will bring technical expertise, refined service standards, and a deep appreciation for wine and beverage service to our venue. As a trade-qualified waiter, you will demonstrate precision in table service, menu knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality. As a sommelier, you will oversee the wine program, offer thoughtful recommendations, manage wine inventory, and guide guests through an engaging and informed selection process. The ideal candidate will have formal hospitality training, sommelier certification or equivalent experience, and a natural ability to create memorable experiences through outstanding service and product knowledge. This role requires a confident, guest-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food, wine, and creating connections through shared experiences. Qualification & Experience You will hold a Certificate III in Hospitality (or equivalent trade qualification) and possess relevant industry experience in high-end restaurants or hotels. Formal sommelier training (such as WSET Level 2 or higher, or CMS certification) is highly regarded. You will have a strong understanding of wine regions, varietals, and food pairings, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A current RSA certificate is essential.
