About the Role
The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator is a key professional responsible for delivering extension services to the agricultural sector, promoting climate-smart practices, and facilitating understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets.
This role collaborates closely with the Sustainable Landscapes team to execute on the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's strategic priorities, focusing on educating and partnering to sustainably manage landscapes and cultivate sustainable primary production.
The facilitator works closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies, and agencies to implement workshops, events, and activities that drive sustainable farming outcomes aligned with Australian Government objectives for sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialized extension services to improve knowledge and adoption of climate-resilient practices among agricultural stakeholders.
* Foster collaborative partnerships between farmers, land managers, and other relevant parties to promote sustainable farming outcomes.
* Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs aimed at upskilling and enhancing knowledge of carbon and biodiversity markets.
* Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to advance the goals of the role and the organization.
