Co-located with aretirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designedspecifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care,including those with special care needs and dementia.To be successful in this role, you will have experience incleaning and / or laundering practices and be of a friendly nature,as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool whoprovide relief across both morning and afternoons, as well as onweekends and public holidays. Shifts for each role are asfollows:Domestic Assistant7.30am - 3pm8am - 4.30pmLaundry Assistant8am - 12pm or1pm8.30am or 9.30am -4.30pm10am - 2pm / 3pm10.30am - 2.30pm, 3pm, 4pmor 4.30pmAbout YouPrevious experience working as a Domestic Assistant /Cleaner or Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospitalor similar environmentHave a 'can do' attitude and a genuinecompassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of ateamWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of TheBethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinationsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness toapply for one)The RolesDomestic AssistantEnsuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floorsand communal areas are kept clean and tidyEnsuring supplies are stocked across the facilityLiaising with other employees to ensure the needs of ourresidents are metEnsuring residents' personal clothing is individuallylabelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items thatrequire mendingLaundry AssistantEnsuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly andinfection control practices are adhered toSorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour,degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibreLoading and unloading washing machines and tumbledryersSorting and folding clean and dry linenReporting damage or wear and recommending repairs orreplacementWorking with BethanieMany of us work because we want to make adifference.
