The West Daly Regional Council covers 14,000 square kilometres and is located about 300 to 420 kilometres south-west of Darwin. The area is mainly rural, with three Indigenous communities at Peppimenarti, Nganmarriyanga and Wadeye which are managed by West Daly Regional Council (Council).

Successful candidate will receive: 6 weeks annual leave, 11% superannuation in addition to per annum base salary.
Primary Tasks:
Set priorities, manage, and coordinate activities efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve high-quality results, including:
1. Provide timely and effective diary management for the CEO, prioritising and organising meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Coordinate travel and accommodation requirements for the CEO and elected members, and organise meetings, workshops, seminars, and related forums.
3. Prepare formal agendas and minutes for Council/Committee meetings and manage workshop arrangements.
4. Prepare and disseminate Executive and other meeting papers and minutes regularly.
5. Review and record all incoming correspondence and emails, redirecting them to appropriate parties and following up on responses.
6. Support the CEO by providing editing and formatting support for presentations, documents, and reports.
7. Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure accurate remuneration of allowances for Elected Members and members of Local Authorities.
8. Support the CEO's pipeline development through key networking and stakeholder engagement.
9. Provide professional administrative assistance, including research and preparation of high-level reports, letters, and email correspondence.
10. Maintain the CEO's confidence and protect Council by ensuring the confidentiality of information and implementing processes to manage highly confidential data.
11. Assist the CEO with time management by reading, researching, and routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information, and initiating telecommunications.
12. Develop and maintain relationships by working collaboratively, communicating effectively, and providing quality customer service to stakeholders.
13. Undertake various ad hoc projects on behalf of the CEO as required from time to time.
14. Perform additional duties commensurate with skills and experience.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
15. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in executive support or related field.
16. Proven experience in providing high-level executive administrative support.
17. Strong organisational and time management skills.
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
19. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
20. Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
21. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
22. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
23. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
