About the Role:
NHP are currently seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced Senior Credit Officer to join our National Credit team, based in Melbourne.
This role reports into the Shared Services Manager and is a critical support role in managing credit risk, overseeing account applications, and supporting key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. You will act as the first point of escalation for credit-related issues and play a key role in maintaining strong customer and internal relationships.
Size of the AR team – 8 staff.
Accounting system – Microsoft D365.
Key Accountabilities:
* Act as the first point of contact for all escalations and resolve issues promptly.
* Review and release customer orders in line with company policies.
* Assess and process new account applications efficiently.
* Manage a small ledger of key accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and the sales team to support business growth.
* Assist with reporting and data analysis to provide actionable insights.
* Assist with regular credit limit reviews to mitigate risk.
* Manage CreditorWatch portals, including PPSR registrations and ApplyEasy.

What you will bring to the role:
* 5–10 years' experience in a senior credit or finance role.
* Exposure to CreditorWatch portals and related credit risk tools.
* Experience within sales/distribution or manufacturing distribution environments (advantageous)
* Previous experience reconciling customer accounts and investigating queries
* Systems savviness (Microsoft D365)
* Advanced MS Excel skills
* A great eye for detail and accuracy
* Confident and capable communicator with strong negotiation skills
* Ability to motivate, support, and drive team performance.
* A positive attitude and willingness to work with a range of different personalities to achieve agreed outcomes
