About the Role
We are seeking skilled and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. You will support people with disability living in shared housing, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. The people you will be supporting require a range of support and so, successful candidates should be experienced and confident in working within a diverse environment which may include behaviours of concern, high medical needs, high intensity daily personal activities and heavy hoisting and manual handling.
The successful candidate must be able to commit a variety of casual shifts in Rosebery, Chifley, Mascot, Matraville, Bondi Junction and Kensington including short 3.5 or 4 hour shifts and sleepover shifts across a 7‐day roster.

* Provide assistance with high intensity daily personal activities
* Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
* Maintain thorough record keeping
* Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
* Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with people with disability
* Previous experience working with behaviours of concern
* Prior experience working with high medical needs
* Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
* Manual handling and hoisting experience
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
