About the Role
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you lead day to day care across a busy clinical area. You coordinate teams, build capability and set the tone for safe, high quality care. You manage people, resources and risk, partner with peers and drive outcomes that matter.
Key Duties
* Lead care delivery and team direction within the unit
* Coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary teams for smooth care flow
* Manage staff performance, rosters and day to day priorities
* Build team skill, confidence and a positive work culture
* Coach and support less experienced clinicians
* Monitor care quality and address gaps between policy and practice
* Drive safe practice and strong patient outcomes
* Partner with senior clinicians, support services and People and Culture
* Maintain links with external health and community partners
About You
You are a confident clinical leader who brings clarity, care and momentum to your team. You know how to balance people, quality and outcomes, and you're ready to step into a role where your leadership makes a real difference.
* Current or eligible NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Current practising certificate or eligibility to hold one
* Clinical leadership experience across teams and care delivery
* Strong knowledge of NSQHS standards and health legislation
* Skilled in change, staff development and consumer engagement
