Job Opportunity: Sterilisation Technician
Job Description:
The role of the sterilisation technician is to ensure the provision of thermally disinfected and sterile reusable medical devices for patient care, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide quality-assured sterilised medical equipment to all areas for use in patient care.
* Maintain high standards in all processes involved with sterilisation, acknowledging the service contribution to patient care.
* Reprocess reusable Medical Devices (RMD's) used in Health Services Organisations, adhering to AS/NZS 4187:2014 standards.
Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at a recognised educational institution.
* Previous experience in a sterilising department environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen and take direction.
* Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health & Safety principles and Infection Control protocols.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff at all times.
