About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as a Case Manager. This role will involve working closely with Aboriginal children, young people, and families to support their holistic wellbeing—physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, trauma, and family dynamics, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in case management or a related field. They will be able to develop culturally grounded safety plans, assess risks, and strengthen family connections to culture and community.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with families, community organisations, and government partners. They will also have a commitment to promoting the rights and voices of Aboriginal children and families.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing risks and developing culturally grounded safety plans
* Strengthening family connections to culture and community
* Implementing strength-based and healing practices
* Advocating in the Children's Court
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A degree in Social Work or a related field, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in case management or a related field
* Diploma in Community Services (2+ years) with a child welfare focus, fieldwork, and case management training
* Valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check for a paid employee, Victorian Driver Licence, and current COVID-19 vaccination
