Be a part of a Local Council as a Parking & Traffic Officer, responsible for proactively promoting and assisting in the carrying out of effective and efficient Parking Enforcement duties within the municipality to create and maintain an environment that preserves and enhances public health and safety.

- Pay rate: $32.28 per hour + Superannuation
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure all complaints and requests for service are properly recorded in relevant databases
- Conduct regular parking patrols throughout the Municipality
- Provide reports and recommendations for changes and improvements
- Investigate all customer requests/reports in a timely manner
- Serve infringement notices for non-compliance
- Assist with the preparation of briefs of evidence and appear as required on behalf of Council at the Magistrates Court where necessary
- Covering at school crossings in the absence of School Crossing Supervisors is required from time to time
- Attending school crossings to provide parking enforcement is required
**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with conflict resolution, customer service and difficult conversations
- Experience assisting writing reports and evidence for court
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite
- Previous Parking enforcement, compliance or regulatory experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience using parking enforcement technology for issuing infringement notices
- Must have a current and valid driving licence
- Minimum secondary year 12 education
