About the role
Join Bulk Granite Haulage as a full-time Heavy Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in our Caboolture, Queensland workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently to support our business.
What you'll be doing
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing on heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers and specialised equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting safety and regulatory requirements
* Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or a related automotive trade
* Extensive experience (2+ years) servicing and repairing heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Good communication skills to liaise with fellow staff and provide technical explanations
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Current driver's license and ability to operate a range of heavy vehicles
