Are you passionate about agriculture and animal nutrition? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a keen interest in sales? We are looking for a dedicated Sales Assistant to join our team at Canberra Stockfeeds, a leading stockfeed supplier.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist customers in selecting the right stockfeed products for their needs
* Provide knowledgeable advice on animal nutrition and feeding requirements
* Process sales transactions and handle cash/card payments
* Maintain stock levels and ensure products are well displayed
* Assist in loading and unloading stock as needed
* Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally
Requirements:
* Previous retail or sales experience (preferably in agriculture or stockfeed)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Basic knowledge of animal nutrition and farm supplies is an advantage
* Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stockfeed and hay bales
* Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
* Forklift license
* LR/MR/HR truck license
