About the role:
This role involves travelling throughout the Townsville region to support multiple clients. You'll work a mix of short and long shifts, providing services such as cleaning, personal care, medication reminders, and social support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver compassionate care – bring empathy and kindness to every interaction
* Domestic assistance – perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, laundry, and changing bed linens. Aim to complete 3–4 services daily to support clients in maintaining a clean and independent lifestyle
* Personal care support – assist with daily routines such as showering, dressing, and grooming
* Travel-ready – willing to travel extensively across the region
* Support health routines – assist with medication schedules and provide transport to medical and specialist appointments
* Meal preparation – cook and assist with preparing nutritious meals
* Transport and social support – drive clients to social outings and help them stay connected
* Create meaningful moments – engage clients in enriching activities that enhance their quality of life
* Foster a positive home environment – ensure clients feel safe, supported, and comfortable in their homes
Requirements for the role;
To be successful in this role, you'll need the following (or be willing to obtain them):
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Blue Card – Working with Children
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Open Queensland Driver's Licence
* Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
* NDIS Orientation Module & Supporting Certificates
* Driver Authority Card – check your eligibility through TMR
* Medical Health Assessment
* AFP National Police Check
* Australian work rights – must possess valid Australian work authorisation at the time of application
