**How you'll contribute**:
- Monitor activity throughout the region, schedule necessary resources, and plan future growth and strategic direction of the department.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Assess, modify, and develop department workflows and processes.
- Track activity and metrics.
- Work and collaborate with various departments and senior management on operational and strategic initiatives.
- Schedule and oversee department resources, planning and budgeting.
- Assess and manage team, provide coaching and performance management, conduct reviews.
- Become familiar with industry and technology trends.
- Provide leadership and vision that inspires the team and contributes to Biamp's success.
- Hiring and onboarding employees as necessary.
**You'll also support with**:
- Researching tools and technology used within department.
- Participating in annual budget process.
- Attending trade shows.
- Participating in cross-functional projects as needed.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in the commercial AV industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Technical expertise in audio DSP, networking, and other AV technologies.
- Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other relevant industry trainings and certification highly desired.
- Ability to discuss complex technical issues and system designs with a variety of people possessing different levels of experience.
- Previous experience managing a large team of direct and indirect reports.
- Ability to coach, mentor and performance manage team.
- Ability to plan, strategize and see big picture while focusing on individual issues as necessary.
- Ability to define, capture, track, and analyze relevant department performance metrics and KPIs.
- Ability to monitor and analyze relevant industry data and trends.
- Strong presentation, organization, problem solving and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of case tracking systems.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively
with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and
appropriate methods.
- Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong
attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
**Work workplace**:
- This is an onsite position based in Stafford, Brisbane, Australia.
- Some global travel required (approximately 20%).
- Routine use of standard office equipment.
- Stand or sit for long periods.
