Brisbane Respiratory & Sleep Specialists – Greenslopes QLD
Catering for four Respiratory / Sleep Medicine Physicians.
Position commencing 05 January
A recently established Respiratory & Sleep Medicine practice is seeking to appoint part-time Medical Receptionists / Administrators to join their team at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
The part-time position on offer is three days (21.5 hours) a week.
Flexibility to change workdays and temporarily increase work hours is greatly desired to cover holiday leave or sick leave.
Remuneration
A salary within the range of $30 - $34 per hour + super will be considered for a suitably experienced candidate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responding to incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Managing all patient appointments, including cancellation list and ensuring GP referrals are up to date
Meet and greet of patients visiting the practice
Assisting with general patient enquiries via telephone and email with a polite disposition
Managing all patient recalls in conjunction with the specialists
Maintain a high quality of record keeping for patient files (utilising the practice scanning facilities)
Preparing and running patient clinics
Managing accuracy with patient data entry into Xestro software
Ensuring all patient results and correspondence are on file in preparation for their consultation
Reviewing upcoming clinics and ensuring all patient records are in order before the day of clinic and appointment reminders have been sent out to patients
Ensure high level of confidentiality of medical records (both printed and electronic copies)
Processing of all patient billing / receipting for consultations
Attend to electronic, verbal and written tasks from clinicians in a professional, responsible and timely manner
Qualifications and Desirable Attributes
A strong desire to provide a high level of service to the patients of the practice
A minimum of 12 months experience as a Medical Receptionist, Administrator or Medical Secretary
Immaculate personal presentation by maintaining practice dress standards.
An exemplary telephone manner and a compassionate demeanour.
A warm and caring approach towards the patients
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to tactfully handle difficult interactions with patients or family members.
Strong work ethic and reliability
Strong time management and organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Previous experience using Xestro practice management software would be highly regarded.
If not, experience with other practice management software such as Genie or Gentu.
Proficiency with patient billing, including Medicare, Private Health Funds, DVA and WorkCover
