Zerella Fresh is one of Australia's largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia's leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated PRODUCTION HORTICULTURE SUPERVISORS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Mount Gambier site.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Farm Leader you will be working in an outdoor farm environment.
An attractive remuneration package between $65,000 - $85,000 is available to the right candidates.
Duties
Preparing the soil, tiling, planting, fertilising and harvesting the crops.
Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and labourers.
Carry out and oversee the planting program.
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
Deliver the planting program as per instruction from the Operations Manager.
Coordinate seed production and seed sourcing, purchase and inventory.
Coordinate the repair and maintenance of all fertigation, spreading and spray equipment.
Responsible for the calibration of all fertigation, spreading and spray equipment.
Report to Operations Manager of water usage versus issued licence quotas.
Maintain quality control and production records.
Evaluate compatible break crops.
Maintain ground soil sustainability.
All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Diploma in a relevant field plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in horticultural operations / farm management.
Experience in the management of potato, carrot and onion crops (desirable).
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience working with large-scale agricultural machinery.
Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence (essential).
Chemical User Certificate Accreditation (essential).
Forklift licence (essential).
HC licence (essential).
Cultural adaptability and willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to undertake manual, and sometimes physical work.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors, in all kinds of weather conditions.

Hidden Valley Station – Mixed Production Farm Worker
Position Title: Mixed Production Farm Worker.
Employment type: Fulltime.
Location: Hidden Valley Station, 400km South of Katherine, N.T.
Reports to: Manager.
Employment details: ANZSCO Code ****** Farm Worker (Mixed Production). Minimum 2.5 years of demonstrable experience operating a Caterpillar D7 Bulldozer for heavy scrub/timber clearing, an Integrated Tool Carrier/Loader (IT28B) for bulk feed storage, and a MultiOne Mini Loader for specialised cattle yard duties.
Salary: $66,****** annually. Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, some weekend work may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine tasks across our mixed farm operation with a primary focus on maintaining a large-scale beef cattle herd and critical infrastructure.
Cattle Husbandry & Stock Work: Mustering, moving livestock, providing feed and water, administering treatments, and assisting with calving and general stock health checks.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and clean all farming infrastructure, including sheds, yards, gates, and water/irrigation systems; undertake routine maintenance and minor repairs; perform basic arc welding for fence and yard repairs.
Transport and Logistics: Operate farm trucks and utility vehicles for transportation of feed, hay, livestock, and general farm supplies.
Specialised Farm Machinery Operation: Operate CAT D7 Bulldozer for heavy field preparation and vegetation control; operate IT28B Loader for bulk feed management; operate MultiOne Mini Loader for detailed work within confined stockyard spaces; perform pre-start checks and log routine maintenance on all specific machinery.
Pasture & Feed Management: Operate other tractors and implements for general pasture maintenance, weed spraying, and hay/silage preparation or distribution.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrable hands-on experience and proficiency with CAT D7, IT28B and MultiOne Mini Loader.
Proven safety record operating farm trucks and 2-wheeled motorbikes for stock work.
Minimum 2.5 years of full-time practical experience as a Farm Worker in a livestock-focused environment.
Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills in a remote environment.
Current and valid Australian driver's licence.
Note: This is a physically demanding role and requires the ability to work in all weather conditions, outside of standard business hours at times if required.
