Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery, the Head of Building Projects - Construction, will manage and coordinate construction, including consultation, coordination, and contract management of the portfolio of building capital projects, ensuring effective capacity planning, oversight, and management to achieve Council's targets and strategic objectives. Leading and developing the construction team in planning, design, procurement and delivery of building capital projects, this key role will ensure community and stakeholders have genuine input into the planning, design, and delivery of building capital projects, across the municipality. The position will work proactively with as a member of the leadership team to improve the capability and capacity of the Project Delivery Teams to meet the requirements of project sponsors and the community, by identifying and implementing process improvements.
