Full-time, continuing positionBased in Mackay HEWL 5: $76,633 - $86,920 17% superannuation with a 2.75% pay rise from Dec 2025 WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE The Administrative Officer will provide support at James Cook University’s Mackay locations and deliver high-quality administration, organisation and customer service to staff and students, ensuring all activities are completed per appropriate policies, procedures and processes.Additional tasks include: Coordinating and scheduling internal and external meetings and eventsSupport College-based Academic team members as requiredOrganise travel and accommodation logisticsArrange interviewsDraft and prepare communicationsLiaise with clients and key stakeholdersReviewing, processing and finalising Service Now tickets.Reading, researching and routing correspondence; drafting letters, emails and documents. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Bringing customer service experience and ability managing high numbers of inquiries effectively and efficiently via phone and email. Having previous experience in providing high level executive support. Proficient in the use of computerised systems and databases including the Microsoft Office suite, you’re a highly organised individual with great time management skills to prioritise and meet competing deadlines. You’re a fantastic communicator with skills and experience in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds with attention to detail and you work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
