Shangri-La Sydney is looking for team members to join our Engineering Department as a Handyperson, you will be performing general maintenance and repair work, and other cleaning duties associated with the department.
About the Role
* Attend guest room work requests.
* Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, fitting, painting and general maintenance work specially in guest rooms and Front of House areas.
* Responsible for cleaning ventilation equipment including air conditioning coils, ducting, filters, air handling units.
* Acts as an assistant to the Shift Engineer, painter, electrician, fitter, carpenter when required.
* Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms and on equipment assigned to him from the maintenance schedule.
* Prepare daily accomplishment reports to account for hours and material expended on individual tasks.
* Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of plant rooms and other Engineering Department spaces.
* Responsible for the security and proper utilisation of tools, spare parts and consumables under his charge.
About You
* Previous experience working as Handyperson in a similar scale 5-star hotel.
* Willingness and can-do attitude to assist Engineering team.
* Knowledge of correct use of manual handling techniques.
* Full availability to work in a 7 day rotating roster.
* Have full Australian working rights.
