The Role We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Control Systems Engineer to join the dynamic Adelaide-based engineering team. This role is open to candidates across Australia, with relocation assistance available for the right applicant. Reporting to the Senior Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of control systems across complex EPC projects. You’ll provide technical input throughout the full project lifecycle—from design to commissioning—ensuring high standards and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare control system designs to meet engineering specifications and standards Develop functional descriptions, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and network configuration Select and procure materials and equipment for project delivery Liaise with clients, project teams, and suppliers to ensure project alignment Prepare cost estimates for controls engineering work Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site commissioning, and performance validation About You Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent Significant experience in Control Systems Engineering (Senior/Principal level) CPEng certification (or working towards) Expertise in PLC programming (Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Experience with SCADA systems and network architecture Ability to produce technical documentation (FAT, SAT, functional descriptions) Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Experience with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite Valid Driver’s Licence VBA skills are desirable Must have Australian work rights What’s on Offer Work on innovative and technically challenging projects Exposure to full project and asset lifecycle Long-term project pipeline with strong forward workload Genuine career progression and development opportunities Supportive, inclusive, and growth-focused team environment Competitive salary and benefits package If you're ready to step into a role with real impact and exciting prospects, apply today!
