Our team at the UNSW-ANU-GFDL ARC Discovery Project is seeking two postdoctoral research positions to contribute to our understanding of warm water intrusions onto the Antarctic continental shelf.
Project Overview
We are a collaborative effort between the University of New South Wales, the Australian National University, and the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory. Our project aims to investigate the processes driving these events and their implications for climate science.
Research Opportunities
As a postdoctoral researcher with us, you will have the opportunity to work alongside leading experts in the field, including Prof. Matthew England, Prof. Andy Hogg, Dr. Paul Spence, Dr. Adele Morrison, and Dr. Stephen Griffies.
Location and Tenure
The positions will be based at either the University of New South Wales in Sydney or the Australian National University in Canberra, both located in Australia. The appointments are initially funded for two years, with potential for extension into a third year.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for highly motivated and talented researchers who can contribute to the success of our project. Candidates should have a strong background in physical oceanography, climate science, or geophysical fluid dynamics, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
