The Role
We are looking for a caring and passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher. You will work in a great environment with a fulltime assistant, great facilities, resources and equipment. Having a low number of students enables us to run a Pre-Kindy second semester.

The successful applicant will implement the Early Childhood Education program for Kindergarten and Pre-Primary students. You will be required to communicate with children in a way that is age appropriate. It is also important in this role to have excellent skills in communicating with families about their children's skills, abilities and achievements to provide the best learning experiences for their child.

The successful applicant will ideally have a love of teaching and a love of learning. We are looking for someone who respects that every child and their family is unique and valued. You should be dedicated to your work as well as being organised and prepared. We are looking for someone who loves working as a team member with all staff, non-teaching staff, teachers and administration. The ideal teacher will have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Framework and the WA Curriculum. Knowledge of phonics programs and high impact teaching is beneficial.

Teachers and school administrators employed at
Mullewa District High School
in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of
$7 000
(pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
