About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, on-call support to clients, stepping in where needed. This unique position offers guaranteed pay for your rostered hours — whether or not a shift is assigned — and kilometre reimbursement for travel between home, clients, and return.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personal care, medication assistance, and support with daily living activities
* Safely perform manual handling tasks, including use of sling hoists
* Provide bowel care, including the use of suppositories, enemas, and digital stimulation (training provided)
* Assist with catheter care, including cleaning, monitoring, and infection prevention (training provided)
* Travel between client homes across Newcastle, Maitland, and the Central Coast
What You'll Need To be eligible for this role, you must have the following:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (current)
* Working with Children Check (current)
* Australian Driver's Licence
* Comprehensive vehicle insurance
* NDIS Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You
* First Aid and CPR certificates (current)
Rostered Hours – Permanent Part-Time Week 1
* Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Saturday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Sunday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
Week 2
* Monday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Tuesday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Wednesday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
Pay Rates SCHADS Award PPT – Schedule E SIL (before tax), including paid annual and personal leave entitlements:
* Day Shift (Base Pay Rate): $34.19 per hour
* Afternoon Shift (Ends between 8pm and midnight, Mon–Fri): $38.46 per hour
* Active Night Shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Mon–Fri): $39.32 per hour
* Saturday: $51.29 per hour
* Sunday: $68.38 per hour
* Public Holiday: $85.48 per hour
