In This Role You Will
Curate and maintain Council's land and spatial information.
Produce and deliver high-quality geospatial products, including digital and hard copy maps, models, dashboards, and other online tools.
Undertake specialist spatial analysis and provide advice to support council's strategic planning functions.
Drive and promote the integration of geospatial capability within the work of the branch and directorate, including through mentoring junior staff.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Has tertiary qualifications in GIS (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in GIS, mapping systems and planning and development functions.
Is technically proficient with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, scripting and analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, FME), electronic records management and Microsoft Office, and has experience managing spatial databases and automated workflows.
Communicates clearly, leads and mentors teams, manages competing priorities to deliver outcomes on time, and holds a current Class 'C' driver's licence.
