OverviewWell established educational institution is replacing its Student Information systems over the next 12 months and, as such, needs a Data Analyst.
You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets, identifying trends and patterns, and communicating findings to stakeholders across the business.In this 6 month contract as a Data Analyst, you will work with the Senior Business Analyst and another Data Analyst who have been involved in the evaluation of a replacement school student information system.
You will work as part of a tight knit team to ensure the seamless implementation of improvements that support the school's operational needs, while streamlining workflows and enhancing overall performance across all departments.What you will bringThe ability to stand on your own two feet as a Data Specialist.
Positive interpersonal/teamwork skills and a team playing approachAble to effectively communicate with others both technically and non-technically to allow thorough scoping of workData Migration Expertise: Technical knowledge to manage the migration of large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the processData Cleansing and Validation: Skills in preparing and cleansing data for migrations, ensuring the data transferred into any new system is accurate and reliableStrong skills around ETL, SQL, Python and Data WarehousingNice to haveMicrosoft FabricAPIS for extracting data from systems such as enquiry tracker and toucan techSpark Notebooks and spark jobs (preferably python) for ETL of data into medallion structure and for transforming data to fit new SIS structurePowerBi for report creationEqual opportunityBalance Recruitment is committed to equal opportunity employment.
