Division: Independent Public School - Southwest Education RegionSalary: Level 2/3, $34.87 - $39.37 per hour (EA (Gov) GA 2025)Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part TimeWe are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. We pride ourselves on having a calm, caring and respectful school.As a Special Needs Education Assistant, under teacher direction, assist in the education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Education Assistants assist teachers in the delivery of planned education programs to assist students to reach their full potential through the development of their academic, social, emotional and physical skills.Suitable applicants should ideally have a high level of interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students. Suitable applicants will ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties, including those on the autism spectrum, and the ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting.
