We're looking for a dedicated and skilled
Chef
to join our team at
Juniper Korumup in Albany
in a
permanent, fixed-term position
covering parental leave.
In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing
high-quality, nutritious meals
tailored to meet the dietary needs of our residents. Working alongside a supportive team of catering staff, you'll ensure all food service operations align with Juniper's policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of
safety, hygiene, and meal presentation
.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook food
* Clean cooking areas and equipment
* Maintain safe food hygiene practices
* Manage resources – includes ordering and stock control
* Manage staff – supervision and delegation as required
* Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements
* Act in accordance with the continuous improvement of the facility, engaging with residents and attendance at facility based resident meetings
Key Requirements
* Trade certificate / Cert 3 or equivalent qualification - desired
* Experience in commercial cooking environment and/or aged care catering - essential
* Current knowledge of Food Safe Plus practices and Hygiene standards, quality system requirements & the principles of relevant aged & resident care legislation
* Knowledge of dietary nutrition for the aged
* Understanding of infection control
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
